Is Mexican dental care actually good?

Short answer: our partners are as good or better than most US dentists. Mexican dental schools are rigorous (many dentists also train in the US), our partner clinics hold international credentials (ADA affiliate, ICOI, AAAASF for surgical facilities), and they work with the same implant brands and lab materials as US practices. The cost difference is about overhead and labor, not quality. That said — quality varies clinic to clinic, which is exactly why we vet and curate.

What if something goes wrong?

Two layers of protection. First: we only partner with clinics that carry malpractice insurance with international coverage and warranty their work for at least 5 years. Second: Medivoyage covers return-trip flights for corrective work if any complication arises within 12 months. We stay accountable.

Can I use my dental insurance?

Some PPO plans reimburse a portion of out-of-country care — we'll help you submit. Most of our members pay out of pocket, because even uninsured the cost through Medivoyage is 60-80% less than US in-network pricing. We also offer financing through our partner.

How long do I need to stay?

Depends on the procedure. Simple implants: 2-3 days. Full-mouth reconstruction: 5-7 days, sometimes with a second trip 3 months later for the permanent restorations. We plan your trip around the medical timeline, never the other way around.

What does Medivoyage charge?

Our concierge is $99-$299 depending on the procedure complexity. That covers AI treatment review, clinic matching, travel coordination, translation, and 90 days of post-op follow-up. Our partner clinics pay us a small referral fee — less than what aggregators like Dayo take, because we pre-screen and deliver higher-quality patients.

Where are your partner clinics?

We're launching with vetted clinics in Los Algodones (the dental tourism capital), Tijuana (most accessible from SoCal), and Cancún (ideal if you want to combine care with a vacation). Puerto Vallarta coming soon.

Is it safe to travel to Mexico for this?

Our partner clinics are in specific, well-trafficked medical and tourist zones with excellent safety records. Los Algodones is literally a walk-across border town. Tijuana partner clinics are in the Zona Río / Rio Zone, not border-check-adjacent. Cancún partners are in the hotel zone. We send you detailed arrival instructions and, if you want, a local guide meets you at the airport.
